Children can learn finger weaving and how to weave on round and rectangular looms. They can make a traditional Mexican weaving, a native American dreamcatcher, a decorative fish and turn a tin into an attractive pencil holder. All projects use found or everyday materials. Each pdf contains a list of resources needed, various timings, step by step instructions and photographs.

Weaving teaches about texture and pattern, it helps develop co-ordination and sequencing skills, concentration and application.

The activities are aimed at the 5-11 age range but children as young as 3 can enjoy the experience of making paper and a few of the activities in the pack such as the autumn leaf picture are suitable.
